Evil Mum Sentenced To Life Behind Bars For Murdering Baby Son Just Months After Killing Daughter
Evil Lesley Dunford has been sentenced to life behind bars for murdering her baby son just months after killing her daughter.
Dunford, 37, murdered her seven-month-old baby son Harley in August 27, 2003, and was charged with the murder in October last year.
Harley was found dead in his cot at the family's former seaside home in Camber, near Hastings, East Sussex.
His death was initially believed to have been the result of 'cot death' until Dunford confessed to the murder behind bars.

Aisha Buhari Launches Book On Health & Wellbeing Of Human Body
The Wife of the President of Nigeria, Mrs Aisha Buhari, has launched her first book on “Essentials of Beauty Therapy’’. The 406 pages and seven chapter book deals with enhancing the health and wellbeing of human body.
Mrs Buhari made the public presentation of the book yesterday in Abuja at the Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
She described the book as the outcome of many years of her research after she undertook series of courses in order to acquire the necessary knowledge to specialise in the area of beauty therapy.

Arase Warns Policemen, Don't Detain Suspects While Investigation Is On-Going
The Inspector-General of Police, Mr. Solomon Arase on Thursday in Benin, warned operatives of the Edo State Police Command to avoid the practice of detaining people indefinitely to enable them shop for evidence to incriminate them.
He also warned operatives of the Force against interfering in civil offences relating to land matters and the criminalisation of such matters.
Arase gave the warning while addressing officers and men of the Command during an official visit to the state.

Lagos To Construct Additional Pedestrian Bridge At Ojota
The Lagos State Government has announced that an additional foot bridge would be constructed at Ojota Bus Stop on Ikorodu Road.
This is to complement the existing one in order to contain the recent upsurge in usage by pedestrians.
The Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Steve Ayorinde, disclosed this in a statement yesterday, saying the decision arose out of the need to reduce the long queue of Lagosians using the bridge.

Following the broadcast of the proof of life video showing 15 of the abducted Chibok girls by US cable news network, CNN on Wednesday, reports has confirmed that the 219 girls who were kidnapped from their secondary school in Chibok, Borno State, exactly two years ago have been broken up into groups and are being offered by different Boko Haram cells to federal government negotiators in exchange for huge sums of money.
Their abduction sparked a social media campaign and global outrage which drew attention to the horror of the six-year-old insurgency in the Northeast.

Denisse Villalta, 21, alleges that attorney Sunny Barkats forced her to have sex with him during an interview when she was 19 years old, according to a lawsuit she filed Wednesday in Manhattan Federal Court.
Barkats reportedly told Villalta that 'she now belonged to him and that she would be required to have a threesome with him and his wife,' the lawsuit states.

Police Detain Inspector Accused Of Working With Robber
The embattled policeman attached to the Special Anti-Robbery Squad of the Lagos State Police Command, Inspector Festus Omotosho, aka Ijaya, has been detained by the command for allegedly working with a suspected robber, Akeem Popoola.
It was learnt on Thursday that Ijaya, who 21-year-old Popoola said he was working for, was also being investigated by the Ogun State Police Command.
The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Fatai Owoseni, had summoned Ijaya for interrogation on Monday, following an exclusive report by Punch Metro.
According to reports on April 11 Popoola,was arrested for robbery and burglary by the police in Ogun State, he said he helped Ijaya to sell phones to unsuspecting members of the public.

Brother Of Missing DSS Officer Writes In, Wants Buhari’s Intervention 7 Months After
Seven months of pains, tears and sorrows, as the Federal Government and DSS are still mute on the where about of seven Department of State Security (DSS) officers that went missing 7 months ago at the Ikorodu area of Lagos.
The families have petitioned President Muhammadu Buhari to open a thorough investigation and unfold the mystery behind their disappearance. But it is sad, that up till now nothing has been done or said by the Federal government or DSS on their where about.
Let Nigerians ask why the DSS should keep silent on the sudden disappearance of their gallant officers who were on national assignment and refuse to even ask how their families have been faring! The Government or the DSS have not for one day, asked after their wives and kids or how they are coping. What a great country that one will put his or her life down for?.

Didier Drogba Charity: Striker Welcomes Investigation
Former Chelsea striker Didier Drogba has welcomed an investigation into his charity over "serious regulatory concerns".
The Daily Mail claimed only £14,115 out of £1.7m donated to the Didier Drogba Foundation had helped causes in Africa.
The Charity Commission has opened a case to review concerns about the charity's administration.
But Drogba, 38, said "everything is clear" and "this money will be spent when it needs to be spent".

Canada's New Assisted Suicide Law Will Be Closed To Tourists
Canada's new assisted suicide law will only apply to Canadians and permanent residents, meaning others won't be able to travel to Canada to die.
A senior government official told The Associated Press visitors will be excluded under the new law to be announced Thursday, precluding the prospect of suicide tourism. The official spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to discuss details ahead of the announcement.
The official said to take advantage of the law the person would have to be eligible for health services in Canada.

The Supreme Court today affirmed the August 9th 2014 election of Governor Rauf Aregbesola of Osun state. Court bars NDLEA, Police, SSS, others from arresting & extraditing Kashamu
A Federal High Court sitting in Lagos has barred men of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, the Nigerian Police Force, SSS and other security agencies from arresting and extraditing embattled Senator-elect Buruji Kashamu to the US over alleged drug related offences. Mum to get $2m from US govt for the beating death of her 5year old daughter by former soldier father
The U.S. government will pay an Atlanta woman Tarshia Williams (right) $2 million for the Hawaii beating death of her 5yr old daughter at the hands of a former soldier in 2005. Talia Williams (left), died after she was beaten by father Naeem and stepmother Delilah. The man kicked the little girl so hard he left a boot imprint on her chest. President-elect, Muhammadu Buhari who is currently in the UK on a private visit, will be returning to Nigeria tomorrow May 28th ahead of his inauguration as President on Friday May 29th.
